India, part 2

The next day we decided to leave early morning for jaipur, which is located in the province of rajhastan for a day-trip. We left early morning for the road trip. For some reason, I always thought that rajhastan would be all desert type...but when we reached the border of the province we saw hilly areas.

As soon as we entered the jaipur city, I fell in love with the city. This city is called pink city and has buildings that have pinkish-redish clayish touch.

It was a sunny day but since we were there to visit the city...we didn't care. We visited all the famous places like jantar mahtar, hawa mahal, fort of amer, few other forts and even had a wonderful rajhstani vegetarian thali at a fort for lunch...which was different from thalis that you would eat in UP province. We even went to a market and got some famous rajhastani suits and two blankets (but remember you have to do lots of bargaining....which was done by my husband and the driver). In the evening we went back to agra...which was our base.
